শিল্পী সেই কবে গান গেয়েছেন "কফি হাউসের আড্ডাটা আজ আর নেই"।কিন্তু এ কথা বোধহয় পুরোপুরি ঠিক নয়। বাঙালির আড্ডা কখনোই শেষ হবার নয়। আর কফি হাউস নামের সাথে বাংলার যে আত্মিক যোগ তা অনন্ত। তাই কলেজ স্ট্রিটের সীমানা ছাড়িয়ে তার শাখা প্রশাখা ডানা মেলছে।ইন্ডিয়ান কফি হাউসের সেই রকমই একটি ফ্রাঞ্চাইসি বালিগঞ্জ বিজন সেতুর পাশে তার যাত্রা শুরু করলো ৫ই মে ২০২৪। "সাহারা ক্যুইন" ফ্র্যাঞ্চাইজি পার্টনার  হিসেবে দক্ষিণ কলকাতার মানুষদের উপহার দিলেন আদ্যন্ত আধুনিক সাজে সজ্জিত শীততাপ নিয়ন্ত্রিত বাঙালির সেই চিরন্তন কফি হাউস।    উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানের ব্যবস্থপনায় ছিলেন কফি হাউস সোশ্যাল সার্ভিস অ্যাসোসিয়েশন এর কর্ণধার মাননীয় শ্রী অচিন্ত্য লাহা।  অনুষ্ঠানে বিশিষ্ট অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিখ্যাত কবি ও সাহিত্যিক শ্রী সুবোধ সরকার ,স্বনামধন্য গায়ক শ্রী সুদেব দে, বিশিষ্ট নাট্য ব্যক্তিত্ব নীলিমা চক্রবর্তী, পাবলিশার্স এন্ড বুক সেলার্স গিল্ডের সম্পাদক শ্রী সুধাংশু শেখর দে , বিশিষ্ট সংগীত পরিচালক কল্যাণ সেন বরাট ও বিশিষ্ট সঞ্চালক দিব্যেন্দু দত্ত মহাশয় সহ সমাজের আরো ব...

নাটকের শহর গোবরডাঙ্গার এক অন্যতম প্রাচীন দল নাবিক নাট্যম। 1977 সাল থেকে 2024 আজও তারা নিয়মিত থিয়েটার চর্চা করে চলেছে। প্রত্যেক বছরের মতো এবারও তারা পালন করলো তাদের জন্মদিন তথা প্রতিষ্ঠা দিবস। গোবরডাঙ্গা নাবিক নাট্যম পা দিলো 48 বছরে। এ বছর তারা গোবরডাঙ্গার অন্নপূর্ণা প্যালেসে তাদের এই প্রতিষ্ঠা দিবস টি উদযাপন করে। বিশিষ্ঠ অতিথিদের উপস্থিতিতে প্রদীপ প্রজ্বলন ও কেক কাটার মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠানের শুভ সূচনা হয়। অতিথিদের মধ্যে ছিলেন নির্দেশক প্রদীপ রায় চৌধুরী, শ্যামল দত্ত, অধ্যাপক উমেশ চন্দ্র অধিকারি, সংবাদিক পাঁচু গোপাল হাজরা, নাট্যকার কৃষ্ণেন্দু চট্টোপাধ্যায়,প্রাক্তন পৌরপ্রধান সুভাষ দত্ত ও কাউন্সিলর বাসুদেব কুন্ডু। দলের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা সদস্য সোমনাথ রাহার বক্তব্যে শুরু হয় অনুষ্ঠানটি, সকল আমন্ত্রিত অতিথিরা বক্তব্য রাখেন এবং তারা নাবিক নাট্যমকে এই দীর্ঘ সময়ের থিয়েটার চর্চার জন্য শুভেচ্ছা জানান এবং আগামী দিনে তাদের থিয়েটার চর্চা যাতে আরও সূদূর প্রসারি হয় সেই কামনা করেন। অনুষ্ঠানের দ্বিতীয় পর্বে ছিলো এক মনোজ্ঞ সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান। বহু বহিরাগত শিল্পী ও গোবরডাঙ্গার বেশকিছু নাটকের দল ...

গতকাল একটি  স্বেচ্ছাসেবক সংস্থার পক্ষ থেকে বিভিন্ন স্টেশনে, রাস্তার ধারে  দুঃস্থ মানুষদের হাতে তুলে দিলো কিছু দ্রব্য  সামগ্রী ও পানীয় জল।এই গ্রীষ্মের খরতাপে পথের মানুষজন যখন দাবাদহে  দগ্ধ ঠিক সেই মুহূর্তে তাঁদের পাশে দাঁড়ালো এই স্বেচ্ছাসেবক দল।ডাবের জল,ঠান্ডা পানীয়, ফ্রুটি,ফলমূল,পাতলা সুতির জা মা, সুতির লুঙ্গি তুলে দিলো পথের এই অসহায় মানুষদের হাতে এই স্বেচ্ছাসেবক সংস্থা টি।এই  এই সংস্থাকে সাহায্য করেছেন হুগলী জেলার  দেবানন্দপুরের(ব্যান্ডেল)  শ্রদ্ধেয় অশোক কুমার দে ,ওনার সহধর্মিণী রুবি দে,  ওনার সুযোগ্য পুত্র শ্রীমান অলোক দে এবং  নদীয়ার রানাঘাটে  অভিজিৎ  অধিকারী ও হুগলির  বাঁশবেড়িয়ার রানা বর্মন। ওনাদের এই কাজটি প্রধান মন্ত্রী স্বচ্ছ ভারতের কাজকে  আরও দৃঢ় করলো।আমরাও ওনাদের সাধুবাদ  জানাই।
